IHC - Children's Day Celebrations

It has been more than 2 years now since we started working on Indian Heroes Calendar (IHC). After working on over 200+ stories for over a year, we had started 'Fun with Heroes' online sessions to tell stories about India's heroes to the young generation. After conducting sessions for a over a year, we decided to take a break.

Recently, Sanskriti School reached out through its Parents Outreach program to conduct similar session for their students. We decided to cover four stories of heroes from different fields that would create interest in these students.

Finally, the session was conducted as a part of the Children's Day celebrations on Nov 14, 2022. Students of classes 4, 5 and 6 attended this online session. We covered following stories:
  • Jawaharlal Nehru
  • Subedar Joginder Singh
  • Dr Verghese Kurien
  • Jamsetji Tata

The sessions included Fun Q & A and even a Quiz (link below). Students showed great enthusiasm and were quite active during the session. The session was possible due to the efforts of Shaily teacher of Sanskriti School. We are extremely thankful Sanskriti School for their support and genuine interest.

The purpose of such sessions is to provide an interesting and encouraging introduction about each hero. Once readers get to know about the hero, they can explore them in greater details through various books and other resources.
